  4/8 Cylinder Systems

The 4/8 cylinder engine distributor-less ignition system incorporates a crankshaft triggered position sensor. This system provides extremely accurate programmable ignition timing, but does require a small onboard 12volt battery power source. The EPRE ignition system is a complete system featuring everything required from the battery to the spark plug wires. The engine and chassis harnesses, sensors and switches are all military spec. The system includes ignition coil mounting brackets that fit the Fontana Ford, Gaerte Chevy and Mopar 4 cylinder blocks and Ford & Chevy V8 blocks.  We offer crankshaft snout mounted trigger disc assemblies that are designed for use with our crankshaft snout starter drive assemblies. The secondary spark plug wires are custom made with Mallory ProShield components.

• This is the same exceptional system that we have been utilizing on our all conquering Ford USAC Silver Crown V-8 engine.  Throw away that magneto and ignite your race engine with a proven, distributorless electronic ignition system.  We have produced and tested a complete system including control unit, sensor with mount, code wheel integrated into a ATI dampner, coils with mounting brackets, harnesses, battery and spark plug wires.  We do sell the Chevy and Ford V-8 and Chevy, Ford and Mopar midget ignition systems complete or as individual components.

Chevrolet V-8

Ed Pink Racing Engines utilizes the Mallory brand Magneto-Distributor as standard on our Chevrolet V-8 USAC Silver Crown engines. We do also offer the MSD brand Magneto-Distributor system as an option. Both systems are sold as complete assemblies including plug wires.
